DashShot (dash-shot.com, the Windows/macOS apps and the Chrome extension) is a service for creating and sharing screenshots, screen recordings, GIFs and voice-to-task notes. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have.
DashShot is built and operated by the DASH agency (Ukraine), which is the controller of your personal data. Privacy questions and requests: kurusant@gmail.com.
When you use voice-to-task, video-to-document or script generation, we send the content needed for that feature to AI providers acting as our processors:
Data is sent only when you start the feature yourself. Under their API terms these providers do not use API data to train their models. AI features are optional — screenshots and recordings work without them.

The extension does not read or send page content anywhere except at the moment you press the capture button. We do not collect your browsing history.
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use three categories:

Strictly necessary cookies are always on — sign-in and security depend on them. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent:
When you reject or withdraw consent, we also delete the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies already stored for this site. Data processed by Google is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Change cookie settings — or use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
Consent log. To be able to prove your consent, we keep a record of every choice made in the banner on our server: date, selected categories, banner version, page and language. The record is linked only to a random identifier from the ds_consent cookie — no IP address, email or other identifying data.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of the sale/sharing of personal data for advertising (CCPA/CPRA and other US state laws): marketing cookies stay off unless you explicitly choose otherwise.
All data is stored on DASH’s own server (Contabo, EU). We do not sell personal data. Processors we use:
Transfers to the USA are made on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Screenshots and videos are kept until you delete them or until the link expires, if you set an expiry (1, 7 or 30 days). Account data, the AI action log, and Free Pro rewards and requests are kept while the account is active and deleted with it or on request. Consent log records are kept for up to 3 years.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct their data and to opt out of sale/sharing; we do not sell personal information and honour the GPC signal. We respond to requests within 30 days.
